Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 26, 2026

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information — your name, email address, and profile data provided when you register or sign in via Google.
  • Usage data — pages visited, features used, export history, and error events, collected to improve the Service.
  • Generated content — scripts, AI-generated images, voiceovers, videos, and project metadata you create while using the Service.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and session tokens used to operate and secure the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
  • Authenticate your identity and secure your account.
  • Process and store your projects, scenes, and generated media.
  • Send transactional emails (e.g., password reset, billing receipts).
  • Analyse aggregate usage patterns to improve features and performance.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored on infrastructure provided by Google Cloud / Firebase, including Firestore (structured project data) and Cloud Storage (media files). Data is stored in Google's secure, ISO-27001- and SOC-2-certified data centres.

You can review Google's privacy practices at policies.google.com/privacy.

4. Third-Party Services

Vidro integrates with the following third-party services to deliver core functionality:

  • ElevenLabs — used to generate AI voiceovers from your script text. Your script text is sent to ElevenLabs solely for this purpose.
  • AI image generation providers — scene prompts are sent to our AI image generation service to produce scene visuals.
  • Stripe (where applicable) — payment processing. We do not store your full card details; Stripe handles all payment data under PCI-DSS compliance.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction — request that inaccurate data be corrected.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@vidro.app. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and project data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and associated media within 30 days, except where required by law.

7. Cookies and Tracking

Vidro uses strictly necessary cookies (e.g., session tokens) to operate the Service. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Firebase may set its own cookies as part of its authentication services, governed by Google's cookie policy.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.
